With such a vast amount of more or less useful Firefox extensions – I thought it would be a good idea to point out a few which are particularly useful for us webbies …

adds ‘view source chart’ to drop down menu
right click webpage to access
displays source code structure
colour coded elements
tags can be collapsed via click

→ VIEW FORMATTED SOURCE
adds ‘view formatted source’ to drop down menu
right click webpage to access
display options available to show/hide tags
displays linked media inline


→ CSS VIEWER
very handy tool to view individual elements CSS
toolbar button for easy use
on mouse rollover – highlights css boxes
css rules displayed for current page element


→ PAGE VALIDATOR
adds ‘validate page’ to drop down menu
right click webpage to access
shortcut link to W3C validation
result displayed in new window


→ LINK CHECKER
higlights links, checks for validity
toolbar button for easy use
link count + calidation on activation
check result displayed as coloured highlight of link


→ PALETTE GRABBER
creates colour palette based on current page
top menu > tools > export colour palette
3 palette formats (see screenshot below)
